Cooking time:10 minutes

  • Ingredients
    • 2 skinless, boneless salmon fillets
    • Ready-made teriyaki sauce

To make your own teriyaki sauce:

    • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon of sweet chilli sauce
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 1 tablespoon mirin
    • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
    • 1 teaspoon ginger paste.
  • Method
    1. Place the salmon fillets in foil and curve the sides of the foil up.
    2. If making your own teriyaki sauce, mix together the  soy sauce, sweet chilli, honey, mirin, sesame oil and ginger paste.
    3. Spread the ready-made or mixed teriyaki sauce over the fish, then seal the edges of the foil at the top in a parcel.
    4. Place the parcel in a saucepan with hot water, but don’t let it reach the foil seal.
    5. Place a lid on the pan and simmer for 10 mins or until the salmon is cooked.
    6. Depending on your needs, serve with rice and vegetables or blend the salmon into a tasty mousse using a little fish stock.
